1 Peter 2:24-25

²⁴“He himself bore our sins”^[a] in his body on the tree,
    so that we might die to those sins
        and live righteously.
“By his wounds
    you have been healed.”^[b]
²⁵You were “like sheep that kept going astray,”^[c]
    but now you have returned to the shepherd
        and overseer of your souls.
